Chapter 46 - Spirit user battle, the raging flame and the roaring torrent

[Edge dashes off in a streak of blue towards Testament, he attacks with a punch that is met with a wall of water. The Azure Flames are not extinguished and instead Edge just smiles, his face suddenly turns serious as he begins to force his way through the water wall, the blue flame blazes... Testament's face becomes baffled as the water begins to fall and in no time Edge's punch breaks through like an arrow and knocks him right in the face. Testament quickly recovers and they begin to fight hand to hand, each fiery punch from Edge is countered, blocked, or parried by a punch from Testament. Embers and drops of water fly everywhere as fist meets fist. Halo and Napalm can feel shockwaves that tremor through the ground as the two awesome powers lock hands in a defiant show of power]

Napalm: That's horrible, how can people like those two exist... it doesn't even look real
Halo: I dunno, this is the first time I seen him fight like this, he and Testament are different from us...
Napalm: How?
Halo: Me and you have to have our element around to be able to use our powers, that's why you have those plates under your shoes right
Napalm: Yeah, cause I need them to start a fire using their sparks, and the chicks dig it
Halo: You show off with them?
Napalm: Well just the sparks, I hardly ever show off my fire abilities, only my sensei knows about that
Halo: Oh...
Halo: Edge and Testament fought on like two Earthquakes trying to win the title of strongest... this is the first time I seen him fight like this, he's trained me a lot but he's never showed me what he's able to do, poor Napalm he looks like he's seen the face of hell...

[Testament raises his hand and Water Lances start to form, they fire at Edge like arrows as he runs towards Testament. Edge manages to dodge some but for those that he can't he just increases his blazing right hand to a fiery blue burn and just punches the Water Lances head on. He breaks through them easily and strikes Testament in the chest. He grabs Edge's hand and holds on to it and then spins around like a centrifuge and releases Edge in a random direction, he's sent flying back into a small building which collapses in on him]

Testament: What is this flame of his that breaks through water... his fire has always been red like the halls of hell, but now his fire is different... what about you has changed so much...

[Testament stands proud not even short of breath, staring at the ruble that lies on top of Edge. Suddenly the ground starts to rumble ever so slightly and blue rays burst from the ruble, the broken concrete and plaster erupts as Edge stands up, his clothing is a bit torn he raises his right hand and gathers a swirl of energy to it. Testament starts to gather energy of his own in his right hand which swirls around in the form and shape of water]

Napalm: What the hell is going on this is like end of the world or sumtin...
Halo: I think we need to get out of here its not safe for us anymore...
Napalm: C'mon lets go!

[Edge jumps straight up into the air dragging his right hand as if it weighs a ton and as soon as he reaches his maximum height he hovers a bit and extends his right hand and starts to descend towards Testament like a meteor]

Halo: What the hell is going to happen when they strike... me and Napalm can't stay here any longer, and I get a feeling this isn't even close to their maximum...

[Testament hold out the hand that has gathered the energy and braces himself for Edge's attack. The time before the fist of the two powers meet starts to slowly near and right before they hit the two say to each other...]

Edge: STRIKE FIST!!!
Testament: DIE!!!

[The two fists meet and suddenly a large explosion consumes the battle field and the two are knocked back violently...]


Chapter 47 - Aftermath of destruction, Xerxes is found

[Edge and Testament pick themselves up from under the ruble and before they got the chance to rush each other again the pendant that Testament has started to pulse]

Testament: Hmm, you're pulsing... does that mean you've found your body...
Testament: Sorry to cut this short, but I have business to attend to

[Testament turns into a steam like mist and disappears...]

Edge: Pfft...

[All around Edge is nothing but destruction, the view of a war zone. From out of the rising clouds, smoke and fire... two figures approach in an injured manner, they call out to Edge, its Napalm and Halo]

Edge: Hey you two...
Napalm: Your some kind of demon... how could you do all this?!
Edge: If that's what I am then aren't you glad I'm on your side
Napalm: My side!? You totally destroyed my home!
Edge: It's not totally destroyed, this is only a small part of... wherever we are...
Halo: He's right, it coulda ended up like New York a few months back
Edge: Yup yup
Napalm: How do you even exist...
Edge: Look, the straight up truth is there's a lot of things in this word that can destroy "us" at any moment, "we" happen to be one of them, I think, my point is, whatever you think you know about your powers... well you haven't seen anything yet. Testament will be back, this fight is far from over...

[A gate materializes and Hacker walks through]

Hacker: You guys really did it this time...
Edge: Hey yo buddy
Hacker: Look we better go, and I mean right now, the army is on their way, thanks to your little Armageddon here everyone knows
Edge: This was bound to happen sooner or later...
Napalm: What is?
Halo: Are we going back to your place?
Hacker: No we need to go somewhere far and desolate to plan things out, we'll head to my place later
Edge: Where we going?
Hacker: Australia...
Edge: Fine fine, let's go...

[Hacker opens a gate to the farthest location his power will allow, but Napalm is hesitant]

Napalm: What am I suppose to do then
Halo: Are we gonna just leave him?
Hacker: No, he's coming with us,
Napalm: I'm not going anywhere
Hacker: You don't have much of a choice, come with us and be safe, or stay here and take on an army on your own, your choice
Edge: You better come with us, your no where near strong enough to take on an army...
Napalm: I guess...
Halo: We is best to go before we get shot up or sumtin
Edge: Yeah... c'mon...

[They all walk through the gate and end up in another state and they do this over and over again till they reach Australia, they pass through Alaska, Russia, China, Singapore, Malaysia, Indonesia, and finally arrive at the out skirts of the land down under]

Halo: You couldn't land us a little closer to civilization
Hacker: That's where we want to be as far away from as possible
Edge: Yeah... so what's the situation so far?
Hacker: Massive hysteria, the government is declaring this as an act of war, and the churches have said that judgment day is coming
Edge: Sigh...
Napalm: What? why would they say that?
Halo: I'll... fill him in on that
Edge: Good idea

[Napalm and Halo separate and sit down on the sand and Halo tells Napalm all about the presumed, now actual, outcomes of their actions]

Me and hacker discussed the repercussions of our actions, and we both agreed we needed to calm things down as soon as possible, but was that even going to be possible. When people get scared they gather, individuals who normally are intelligent on their own start to think with the same thoughts as the collective consciousness and thus become a mere member of what is now a larger being with one single thought, survival...

Edge: The humans at this point must all think they're gonna be killed in some horrific way...
Hacker: No doubt, death by fire, hell on Earth, the religions of the world aren't what I'm worried about... it's the government
Edge: You don't think we can take them on do you...
Hacker: I dunno... seeing what you can do... I think you can wipe out a few hundred in a single stoke, but I can't do anything
Edge: That's not true at all you can use your gates as the ultimate defense
Hacker: How?
Edge: How many gates can you open up?
Hacker: About 4, 5 if I really strain myself
Edge: See you can use them to send like 4 soldiers at a time to random places, and god forbid you close the gate on them half way through, freaking cut them in half
Hacker: I never killed anyone before...
Edge: I.........
Hacker: Anyway... we need to be ready for whatever happens...
Edge: Do you think they know what we look like?
Hacker: Very likely... in fact I bet on it
Edge: What about you? Do you think they have anything on you?
Hacker: Now that I doubt
Edge: I see... we need a base... a place where we can meet up
Hacker: What like the justice league?
Edge: Sorta, but not with such a corny name...
Hacker: Heh...

[Somewhere back in America, Testament holds out the amulet which glows like a homing beacon, it leads him into a museum's Egyptian exhibit. He walks around the exhibit till he comes across this pillar of stone, he places his hand on it...]

Testament: There you are... my love... my Xerxes...
