Chapter 32 - Edge's azure flame

I left the giant globe and started walking into central park, the path I always take is completely covered in snow, and the fact that it's still snowing didn't make it any better...

[Flashback - Edge is walking along side a mysterious friend and the two are laughing and joking, it was autumn so the leaves were brown, yellow and orange. They have their back packs on because they just got out of school...]

There are a lot of memories here and to think they're not so old at all... only a few years ago... things have changed so much...

[Edge walks the snow covered path and without him knowing his blue fire ignites into a tiny flame on his shoulder, the wind is blowing hard and the small flame is pulled backwards trailing along him. The snow continues to fall at a steady pace and the ambient lighting stays grey with a slight blue tint]

I wonder what happened to everyone, was I really gone for a hundred years or so... I use to hang out here a lot after school me and my high school friends came here when there wasn't anywhere else to go or anything else to do. Now that I think back on it, high school wasn't all that bad, then again that's only cause I made it "not bad". The first year or two could've been different, I just wish I was able to show off my fire...

[Flashback - Edge is in high school, its his fist day and he's being bullied by some seniors, they throw an empty carton of milk at him during lunch and he does nothing but shrug it off and continues eating. The bell rings signaling the end of lunch and everyone gets up to leave but Edge stays seated for a bit longer, when everyone except him has left the lunch room he gets up and looks at the carton of milk with an angry stare, he throws his left hand out towards the carton and ignites it on fire...]

It took me a while to force my way through the snow to reach one of my favorite spots. It was a water fountain, now covered in snow, this fountain lets you know you were close to The Lake, one of many large bodies of water in the park. I stood by the fountain for a tiny bit, I felt something weird pulling on me and I turned around to see what it was.

[Edge stops walking and looks at his left shoulder, there's a small fire being forced back by the wind]

My fire... its still blue, is this what it's gonna be like from now on?

[Edge raises his right hand and as he does the blue flame on his shoulder slowly goes out but another blue flame ignites consuming his hand, glove and all. He stares at it in awe and wonderment of its existence]

Hmm... For some reason I feel comforted by this flame, this... azure flame...
