Chapter 44 - Edge and Halo's arrival, too late the world knows We raced to LA as fast as we could, I hung on tightly to Halo as he surged through the clouds...
[A lighting storm rages across the skies of Colorado, Utah, Nevada and finally California] We finally made it, Halo and I fell out from the sky and landed into a crowd of people running in terror, they looked at us and began to scream even louder, I tried to tell them it's alright but what is a short little Asian dude and a tall brown guy suppose to do? So we began to walk in the opposite direction of the crowd of running people, but we didn't have to go far, Testament met up with us instead. Halo stepped forward though and he told me to keep myself hidden for the time being, I don't know why but I nodded my head and step backward with the crowd, I figure I'd probably be the trump card and step in if Halo needed my help... hell maybe I should come up with a cool entrance while I'm at it hahhaaahaa, nah I should be serious though, this is the second General of The Great War here...
[Edge steps back and starts to run with the crowd of people and he's soon lost in the hoard. The people soon disappear and Testament comes into full view of Halo, they confront each other for the first time in months]Testament: You again
Halo: In the flesh, let him go, he has nothing to do with this
Testament: This insect? You should be thankful I let him live this long
Halo: Whys that?
Testament: Cause your kind is rare in this day and age no?
Halo: My kind?
Testament: Elemental user much like yourself
Halo: What do you know about what I can do...
Testament: Who do you think I am, I was the General of an entire army of demons, there is a reason for that, and that reason will become apparent to you
Halo: Oh yeah? SHOCKWAVE!!!
[Before Halo's attack is released, Testament flings Napalm towards Halo and his attack is stopped]Testament: Lighting element, there's no storm how do you plan on gathering power to defeat me
Halo: Easy...
[Halo puts Napalm onto the floor and out of danger, he then extends his left hand but holds out his right hand just out of sight of Testament, and in his right hand he gathers a charge and it travels through is body and out his left hand]Halo: SHOCKWAVE!!!
[The bolt of lighting shoots outward and a stunned Testament raises a wall of water that disperse the lighting bolt but at the same time burst into vapor]Testament: I see... you charge up your energy and you direct it forward, but without a storm brewing your power is diminished tenfold
Halo: I have a trump card, but until then...
Halo started to fight Testament and it looked almost like a handicap match cause everything that Halo does is deflected by Testaments water. From time to time Halo would manage to gather enough energy to perform his Shockwave attack but even that wasn't to much of a success, the few times that it did hit, it sent Testament stumbling back but he quickly recovered and retaliated sending Halo flying back. I remembered hearing that that guy Napalm was one of "us" one of our kind... while Halo and Testament were preoccupied with fighting each other I took it on to myself to reach Napalm and try to wake him up.
[Edge heads over to Napalm and starts slapping his cheeks trying to wake him up, it works and Napalm blinks his eyes and finally fully opens them. He quickly gets up and looks around and before Edge can say anything he quickly gets up and sees Testament and Halo]Edge: Hey, hey hey hey hey, what's the hurry
Napalm: He's still alive I have to stop him!
Edge: Um, alright you see the brown dude he's a friend of mines, we're the good guys got it?
Napalm: Good guys? We have good guys?
Edge: Look you're trying to stop Testament and so are we so let's work together alright?
Napalm: What ever you say, but I think you should step back, things are gonna start getting hot in here
Edge: Is that so?
There he goes, Napalm eh? He was a skinny guy with long brown hair that he left to hang I think he was Latino, then again this was LA, so who knows... I guess he's a fire element judging by his name, maybe I don't need to help out after all...
[Napalm dashes forward to join Halo in the fight, when he arrives Testament has an annoyed look on his face]Testament: Annoying insects, I should have crushed you both when I had the chance
Napalm: You know this guy?
Halo: Long story
Napalm: I see, I guess we both have something in common
Halo: Yeah, team effort?
Napalm: Yeah
Testament: Please, do amuse me, this should be "fun"
Napalm: Oh cheap shot
The two started to fight side by side against Testament and it looked a little more equal this time, Testament ceased his attacks and started to dodge and parry the attacks of both Halo and Napalm.
[Napalm does a hurricane kick and scratches his heels against the floor kicking up a storm of sparks that he ignites into huge clouds of fires that consume Testament but when they die down it turns out they did nothing, Testament shielded himself with a thin layer of water. Right after Testament lets down his shield Halo strikes Testament with a bolt of electricity that forces Testament to stagger backwards. He retaliates by using his Water Lance attack, it rips through the air almost stabbing Halo but he's saved by Napalm who uses a wall of fire to evaporate the Water Lance]Napalm: You ok?
Halo: Thanks there yo!
[Testament finally goes on the offensive, he raises water from the water pipes underneath the streets and he directs them toward Napalm, like tentacles they strike him now and then as he tries to dodge, from the side though a few bolts of lighting come to Napalm's aid as Halo fends off the waters with his Shockwave attack. Testament notices this and starts to attack Halo as well, a big tentacle of water comes streaming at Halo who does nothing but stand still and holds out his left hand to gather a charge. Small tendrils of electricity start to form and right before the water jet is about to hit him he raises his right hand and all the energy he gathered travels to his extended arm and shoots out splitting the water into two halves, white vapor appears and from the distance Napalm notices something unnoticeable to regular people, Napalm rushes over to Halo's side]Napalm: I have a plan, strike him with your attack again
Halo: alright
[Halo charges his attack and unleashes it on Testament who again protects himself with a barrier of water, when Halo's attack hits it breaks open a small hole and that same white vapor appears]Napalm: ALRIGHT HERES MY CHANCE!!!
[Napalm runs towards Testament while he's distracted from Halo's attack, he immediately skids against the pavement sending sparks flying out]Napalm: HELL HOUND!!!
[Napalm forms the sparks into the shape of a dog that starts to run along the pavement and quickly dashes into Testament causing the white vapors to suddenly ignite and explode, it sends Testament flying backwards and into a building, from amongst the flames the Hell Hound chases Testament into the building and it burst into flames]Halo: Wow, you're pretty good, Edge would be jealous...
Napalm: Who's Edge?
Halo: My trump card if that doesn't stop him
Napalm: Trump card?
Halo: Yeah...
[The fire rages and through the flames you can see a pair of white eyes suddenly intensify, the ground quakes a tiny bit and out of the blue a tremendous wave of water expands outward forcing both Halo and Napalm back into the side of a car, they hit it hard and get the wind knocked out of them... the fires are extinguished...]Chapter 45 - Reunion...[Testament steps out of the water soaked store and walks towards the fallen warriors, he forms two spears made of water that float by his shoulders]Testament: NOW DIE!!!
[The Water Lance attack takes on a life of their own as they immediately shoot towards Halo and Napalm... suddenly without warning a blue spark appears on the ground a few feet in front of the two warriors and a wall of blue fire forms, it rises high and creates a shield. The Water Lances are approaching rapidly and right as they hit the wall of blue fire they spin trying to drill through but to no avail the blue fire successfully blocks the Water Lances and stops them in their tracks, they fall down like blobs of water]Testament: What is this...
[Testament stands in curiosity at what's happening, his demonic white eyes sharpen their glare. The wall of fire starts to split down its center exposing a figure dressed in a pair of black cargo pants, a plain white t-shirt, and a cut off glove worn on its right hand. Testaments eyes suddenly open wide in realization to who it is, with one swipe of his hand the figure clears the Azure Flames from a blazing rage to a swirl of blue energy that just idly stands by before disappearing]Halo: (breathing heavily with a sigh of relief) see, that's my trump card
Napalm: (also out of breath) who... who is that...
Halo: That's my friend Edge...
[Without turning around Edge speaks to the two with a cold but reassuring and friendly voice]Edge: Alright, you guys had enough, I'll take the rest from here...
Napalm: YOU!? You're the guy that woke me up!
Edge: Yeah...
Napalm: Watch out he's too strong
Halo: You haven't seen anything yet, I haven't even seen something like this before
Napalm: What's going to happen?
Edge: Something that shouldn't happen...
Halo: Go kick his ass yo
[The two slowly get up and start to back away... Edge's Azure Flame starts to swirl around his body and on the ground, it slowly begins to intensify]Testament: YOU...
Edge: Me...
Testament: The traitor...
Edge: Myself...
Testament: Why did you do it, you were the one who was to win war, you were the one who was suppose to burn the world, and instead you betrayed us all, and for what
Edge: I... don't have a clue, but I'll tell you this much, who ever I was back then, I'm not that person now
Testament: You will always be the Fire Lord, the fire that was to end the world
Edge: You flooded it, doesn't that satisfy your ego?
Testament: The humans still live, I will never be satisfied
Edge: Why you hate them so much?
Testament: Are you absurd... humans are an abomination of our species, the union of Jehovah's children are never to be mixed with the blood of ours
Edge: Oh yeah... good and evil... I forgot...
Testament: You stand before me an abomination
Edge: So do you, that's not your body, but I know your eyes... I remember them
Testament: ...
Edge: Even right now your existence is because of that kid's body
Testament: That may be so, but my power is absolute
Edge: Really... I dunno about that, I don't think that body of yours is meant to be used in the way you want to use it, maybe that's why you went into hiding, to adjust your body
Testament: Still believing you know everything, just like the old days
Edge: What can I say, when you open your eyes, you're no longer blind, so when are we doing this...
Testament: So anxious to die aren't we
Edge: Died once already, I know what to expect
Testament: Then approach
Edge: Then guard...
[Testament brings up swirls of water that seem to be ready to defend him, Edge brings his Azure Flame to a full burn it too begins to swirl around him, nothing in the surrounding is being lit on fire but there is a faint blue tint to everything...]~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
